Marine SSB Communications CourseThis course is
targeted toward the bluewater and offshore yachtsman that wish to learn how to
operate an Icom M801 or M710 SSB radio without attend the full Long Range
Certificate course. Topics covered:
We also give technical advice on SSB installation and show you how to get the best out of your equipment. YachtCom can also provide the leads to go between your SSB radio and computer along with the software you require. What to bring Students may wish to bring along manuals for their own equipment or if planning to install SSB email or weatherfax software, their PC.
Course location:
The course takes place in our permanently equipped training studio at Lowford, Bursledon, Hampshire, close to the River Hamble. Click here for directions & accommodation. 
The InstructorThe instructor's name is Bob Smith, who is a keen sailor with his own 32 foot sailing yacht. Bob has logged 1000s of sea miles in the Mediterranean, Caribbean and North European waters. Bob has a technical background in radio communications and has a full UK radio amateur radio licence.
