PRE-COURSE STUDY & GMDSS ONLINE TRAINING
For students who wish to do some pre-course study, YachtCom has produced a pre-course study package based around RYA publication VHF Radio (inc GMDSS) VHF G22/02, GMDSS simulators and GMDSS ONLINE training package.

GMDSS ONLINE training
YachtCom's GMDSS ONLINE training covers all topics and includes visual and audio examples on how to use and operate the new digital DSC radios. Each subject in the YachtCom GMDSS ONLINE training package includes a multiple choice question and answer section. If you know all the answers to the questions in the YachtCom ONLINE training, then the exam held at the end of the SRC course will be very easy.

DSC Simulator Program
As well as the GMDSS ONLINE training package, YachtCom provides you with a realistic simulator program which is very similar to Simrad RD67 DSC transceiver pictured to the right. There are over 20 active screens in the simulator and explanations on how to use them are found in the relevant pages on the GMDSS ONLINE training pages.
